No one is an island, no man is a rock. We cannot exist by ourselves. God has made us to have relationships, it is how we make it through life.
I have heard it a million times, but it is amazing that i have had to hear it a million times and will probably need to hear it a million more. I live in my little world with my wife and our two daughters, but outside of that there are not too many relationships. I have barracaded myself in. No one can get in, my own little circle of trust.

There is something lacking, since i am acting as if i am a rock (nothing can penetrate) or an island (i exist here and no one else), there is not much growth on the rock, there are many storms that seems to devistate this island.

It is sinking in. Alone i am easily defeated, but when i am bound to others in relationships then I am not easily defeated. As a Christian, the relationships are held together by Jesus Christ. He is never defeated, in Him we are never defeated. It may look like like defeat, but i remember Jesus on the cross. It looked like defeat then too, but oh you cannot judge by how it looks. He rose from the dead and is alive and He is Lord of All Things.

I am an Independent Artist, i belong to a network called Indie Heave (www.indieheaven.com). But as the founder of Indie Heaven, Keith Mohr, has said, and still says, we should think of ourselves more as Interdependent Arists. We will survive as we bind together and become interdependent. That needs to be the way we live life, as interdependent on each other and completely dependent on Jesus.

Well, the writer of Psalm 119 says, Blessed is the one who walks in the way of integrity. He then goes on to talk about how he has kept the statutes and His words. I sure am glad that we are not made righteous by what we do or don't do. I am glad that my righteousness is in Christ and Him alone. I am not saying that i don't have to try and walk in integrity or that i don't have to attempt to keep His word or commands, but i am glad that i don't have to put my assurance in that.
I can/do put my assurance in that fact that i am righteous because my Savior is righteous. That His Spirit is alive in me. What grace to have His Spirit.
I will spare the gory details, but the enemy has really been attacking my mind. The thoughts, distractions, etc... are a real pain. The awesome thing is I have His Spirit so i can bring my thoughts captive and obedient. I can be transformed in my mind, renewed. Paul says our flesh is constantly warring against the Spirit, in the NLT (New Living Translation) it says we are never free from this battle. We are, however, guaranteed that we can always have the Spirit prevail. The problem is that we don't always listen to the Spirit and we side with the flesh.
As a mended vessels (one that has fallen on the Rock, Jesus, and broke apart, then to be put back together by this same Jesus), i am not perfect. There are still some cracks, but i am no longer broken. I can now be filled and poured out.
Please pray for Valerie and i as we daily set our minds on the Spirit, so we may be transformed.

Well, I am new to the Blogging thing. I tend to be a little behind on the technology stuff. But this looks really cool, so I will give it a go.
I am actually a little behind on a few things. I got married when I was 34 almost 35. When my first child came I was 36 and 37 when my second came. Now I feel God has my wife and I venturing out to do music ministry more than just weekends and an occasional Friday night (I am 39 now).
Life with Jesus at the wheel is definitely never dull. I don't know what is around the corner, or even what is up ahead. I guess I can see as far as the headlights of the vehicle will shine.
Well that is it for now wanted to introduce myself and get this thing off the ground.
